The film differs from the likewise matt Oracal film 631 only in the adhesive strength of the adhesive. Then why do we also have this film in our range? Because we can also buy them as sheet material that is suitable for cutting smaller formats - this is less the case with roll material, since blanks would roll in again at least until gluing - few would buy them from us in this way. Otherwise, the same applies: The matt 640M colour adhesive film can be used for a wide range of applications, e.g. as marking and laminating film in trade fair and shop construction, as decorative film indoors or for lettering in medium-term outdoor applications. In a normal Central European climate, they have a service life of approx. 3 years under vertical outdoor weathering conditions. Environmental influences (strong UV influence, high humidity or adhesion in extreme positions) and production-related irregularities can shorten the durability of the film or impair the releasability of the adhesive. In addition, there may be a slight brightening of the colour. The film can be cut manually with scissors, cutter or scalpel. Processing with the cutting plotter is also possible without any problems due to the stable flatness; it also has very good screen printing properties. The manufacturer recommends not to use any additives in the water for wet bonding. But, but: The matt (naturally slightly rough) surface is more difficult to clean than a shiny one!
