What has yellow and black stripes and can sting you?

What has yellow and black stripes and can sting you?

No, not a bee, but a precisely sharpened Staedtler Noris 120! Joking aside - who doesn't know the iconic Staedtler pencil in yellow and black? The classic in five hardnesses from 2H to 2B is by no means a dusty icon. Thanks to Staedtler's sustainability efforts, there is also the Noris eco. It is manufactured using an innovative technology in which all materials are processed in a single mould. Conventional pencils, on the other hand, consist of glued wooden boards. This process enables particularly resource-saving and environmentally friendly production.

Colouring and drawing pencils for artists and children

Colouring and drawing pencils for artists and children

Staedtler can of course do more than just black and grey. The company developed the forerunner of the coloured pencil 180 years ago. For these pencils, which had a kind of wooden casing, colour pigments were mixed with binding agents and pressed into a lead. This is also the case with Staedtler watercolour pencils. With these, you can create vibrant colour effects with both dry and watercolour painting. The Staedtler Watercolour Set not only contains 12 coloured pencils, but also three watercolourable Lumocolor Mars pencils as well as a brush, sharpener and eraser. Perfect for getting straight into creative fun.

The Triplus Color fibre-tip pens, which are available in 21 colours either individually or in the Triplus Color set, are ideal for creative youngsters. On the one hand, the ink in the fibre-tip pens is water-based and can therefore be washed out when the jumper becomes a canvas. Secondly, Staedtler's Dry Safe ink does not dry out so quickly and can last up to two days without a cap. Incidentally, the triangular pencils are particularly easy to grip, especially for children's hands. The same applies to the fineliners from the Triplus series.

Colourful, vivid, Lumocolor

Staedtler's Lumocolor range originally started with permanent and non-permanent markers. With their intensely bright colours, the non-permanent markers were particularly popular for use on overhead transparencies in schools. However, the brightly coloured ink is also impressive on many other materials such as glass or porcelain. The permanent markers from the Lumocolor series are not only available in numerous colours, but also in different versions from very fine to broad tips.

The Lumocolor range also includes numerous pens for use in the office. Whiteboard markers are available in a set of 8 colours in the usual variety of colours and Staedtler quality. The non-permanent ink can be easily removed from whiteboards and other smooth surfaces such as glass or porcelain with a dry cloth or board wiper without leaving any residue. The practical refill stations of the whiteboard markers also make the use of these pens more sustainable. The whiteboard markers are also available in thinner line width M. Practical for meetings and presentations: With the Lumocolor whiteboard markers, you can flexibly change the pen colour without having to constantly put the cap on - thanks to Staedtler's Dry Safe technology, they stay open for days without drying out. The same applies to the Lumocolor flipchart markers specially developed for flipcharts. The water-based ink does not penetrate the paper and is therefore ideal for flipchart pads.

Calligraphy, art and co.

Calligraphy, art and co.

Whether you are a beginner or a professional, Staedtler has exciting sets in various media for anyone who wants to express themselves artistically. The Calligraph duo set with calligraphy fibre-tip pens, for example, is perfect for beginners. The great thing about it is that the pens with colour-intensive water-based pigment ink are lightfast and each has two tips for broad and fine strokes. Mixed media fans, on the other hand, love the brush sets from Staedtler. The Staedtler Pigment Arts Pen Set includes 12 pens with brush tips, ideal for lettering but also for illustrating. The water-based, low-odour Multi Ink ink impresses with its brilliant colour intensity and high light resistance. It dries quickly on most surfaces and is smudge- and eraser-proof. You can also find them in pastel colours and natural shades in the Modulor Shop.

Fineliners - precision meets creativity

Fineliners - precision meets creativity

Staedtler fineliners are versatile companions for anyone who values precise writing and creative design. With their fine tip, they are ideal for school, the office or artistic projects. When sketching, they deliver clear lines and an even ink flow. One of the most popular models here is the Staedtler Triplus fineliner with its extra-thin 0.3 mm tip. Staedtler fineliners and pigment liners are particularly popular for bullet journaling, where they shine with their variety of colours and precision for hand lettering and decorating. But they are also ideal for technical drawing, architectural sketches, comics and illustrations. Fine contours, details and hatching are effortlessly achieved with the Staedtler Pigment Liner, which is characterised by water resistance, lightfastness and maximum precision. Modulor has the pigment liner available for you in nine thicknesses from 0.03 mm to 1.2 mm. So every line will be a hit.

What else you should know

Staedtler has its headquarters in Nuremberg and is therefore a German brand. The company is owned by the Staedtler Foundation.

Staedtler has been producing writing instruments since the 19th century. The company is now also a market leader in the field of industrial plasticine.

The majority of Staedtler's production takes place in Germany at the Nuremberg, Sugenheim, Neumarkt and Hengersberg sites. Staedtler also produces in Peru.

Insert the Lumocolor marker without the cap into the refill station with the tip pointing downwards. The rest happens automatically. The intelligent refill technology prevents overfilling and stops the process as soon as the marker is full.

Staedtler uses resource-saving materials and processes in its production. For example, the company uses wood from PEFC-certified forests and develops pens made from wood shavings. The casing for pens such as the Lumocolor series is made from 97% recycled plastic. Instead of plastic packaging, Staedtler uses cardboard packaging made from at least 80% recycled material.

By the way, Fimo?

Did you know that Fimo is made by Staedtler? The first Fimo recipe was developed back in 1939 by Sophie Rehbinder Kruse, the daughter of the famous doll maker Käthe Kruse. Since Fimo has been produced in Germany by Staedtler, the modelling clay has been continuously developed and improved. There is now a whole range of Fimo variants for a wide variety of applications. In addition to the classic, oven-hardening Fimo, there is also air-drying Fimo and the wood-effect modelling clay Fimo Air Wood Effect. You can also work flexibly and creatively with both without an oven.
