The Staedtler Pigment Liner is a fineliner with specially developed pigment ink that is suitable for writing, sketching and drawing. The black version of the ink is document-proof in accordance with ISO 12757 2 and has a high light resistance, which means that lines remain legible for many years, even when exposed to light. The ink is also waterproof on paper, can be painted over without smudging and does not bleed. The black version is also erasable on "drawing paper" (manufacturer's specification), but we assume that this only applies to tracing paper.
The pen has a metal-clad tip that enables precise lines and allows you to work with stencils or rulers without blurring the lines and objects drawn when the stencil or ruler is removed. The "Cap Off" technology offers the advantage that the black version of the pen can be left open for at least 12 hours without drying out. The pen is also designed in such a way that the internal pressure also changes when the ambient pressure changes, so that the ink does not run out (e.g. on an airplane).
As the ink is waterproof and does not bleed, you can paint over it with all kinds of colors without smudging the line. The Stadtler Pigment Liner is therefore not only suitable for technical drawings but also for watercolors, illustrations, comics and mangas as well as for journaling.
