Hard fabric belongs to the category of thermosets. It consists of layers of cotton fabrics impregnated with phenolic resin. The result is a material with a "rock-hard" surface and low bending elasticity. Hard tissue is extremely wear-resistant, self-extinguishing and insensitive to cold.
The classic field of application for hard fabric plates is mechanical engineering: gears and bearings made of hard fabric can transmit large forces at high speeds. It is of particular interest for the design sector because of its aesthetic properties. The phenolic resin gives the material a warm brown tone, which can vary depending on the delivery. The surface of the material is silky smooth and shows the top layer of the fine cotton fabric. Sturdy as it is, hard fabric can be used well for building furnishings of all kinds.
We offer hard fabric panels in thicknesses of 1.0 mm and 3.0 mm and up to a panel size of 1000 mm x 2000 mm. Both thicknesses of the hard fabric panels can be cut individually. You will find information about this directly on the products.
