Easter is the time for painting these wooden eggs. If a small hook is screwed into them, the eggs can be hung using a nylon filament. Because these eggs will not break, they are great for doing handicrafts with children. On rainy birthdays they can also be used to put on an egg hunt in your home!

These wooden eggs are untreated and have the PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certificate, which assures that the product comes from sustainably managed forests.

These wooden Easter eggs are designed for hanging and can also be reworked with, for example, Marabu Easy Marble immersion paint in order to add fantastic marblng effects or gilded with Daler Rowney Goldfinger decorative metal paste. Other possibilities include partially dunking them in Marabu Decor lacquer, acrylic, glossy to paint just one half or to go all the way and paint the whole darn thing.

If you want to be a little more reserved and subtle you can simply paint small dots on the eggs or you can just hang them on your tree without any further ado!

Polystyrene foam shaped pieces can be cut using a hot wire cutter and glued with Tesa ALL-PURPOSE GLUE or UHU POR contact glue.

Applications: These plastic eggs are comprised of two halves which are joined at a folded seam making them easy to open and close. The eyelet is perfect for hanging them as Easter decorations or in displays. They can also be used as gift packaging, in handicrafts work or for just plain decorative purposes. The fact that they are officially food-safe extends their possible uses even further!

Treatment: If the eyelet gets in the way of your plans, it can be easily scored and broken off. If you want to glue the two halves together - even though that is hardly necessary because the two halves hold together extremely well - it can best be done using DICHLOROMETHANE or RUDERER platic glue but it should be noted that gluing will leave a streaky area where the glue is applied.

For decorative purposes the eggs can be painted on their insides or rotated with liquid colouring within. This produces a very nice marble effect especially when 2 or 3 different colours are placed inside the egg and not mixed together but rather lightly stirred. By introducing the appropriate dividers within each egg half, two different kinds of decorative materials (e,g, easter grass and flower petals) can fill the same egg and create a beautiful Easter decoration. The divider itself can also be painted or glued.

These eggs, which are made of pressed cotton, are very lightweight and can be painted with ACRYLIC PAINTS or felt pens. For children at Easter time they are a good alternative to real eggs which tend to break rather easily when being decorated.
