The ink roller for printing techniques is suitable for various artistic printing techniques, especially for lino prints and other letterpress printing processes. With a diameter of 3 cm, it is easy to apply or roll out printing ink evenly by hand. The high-quality rubber coating distributes the ink evenly. The ergonomically shaped handle sits comfortably in the hand and offers secure guidance with even and easy-to-apply pressure. These features make the roller extremely versatile.

Application: First roll out the ink in an empty ink tray to form a thin, even layer and then apply it to the printing plate - for example the carved linoleum. Apply the ink in different directions from one edge of the printing plate to the other. Then place the paper to be printed on the printing plate and cover it with a sheet of paper or cardboard to protect it. Now use the rubber roller to roll back and forth over the protective paper. You should alternate the direction and roll from one edge of the underlying printing plate to the other until the ink is evenly distributed and the paper has been subjected to the same pressure at every point. Once you have applied the ink and pressed your printing paper evenly, remove the protective paper, lift the printed paper off the printing block and allow it to dry.

Always clean the roller in lukewarm water immediately after use and dry it with a paper towel. A major advantage of the solid rubber ink roller compared to a foam roller is that the slightly sticky ink forms a thick and even layer on the solid rubber roller. A foam roller, on the other hand, absorbs some of the ink. The use of a solid rubber roller is therefore recommended for an even and perfect printing result.
