- Description
Precision acrylic glass is a very high-quality cast acrylic sheet. Above all, it differs from otherwise commercially available acrylic glass sheets due to its extremely low thickness tolerances. This quality standard is guaranteed during production by manual control of each sheet on thickness tolerances and optical defects.
Precision acrylic glass is mainly used industrially. For example, it's used to make glass for watches or LED displays. However, architectural modelers also prefer to use the material, because they can process it very precisely due to the low thickness tolerances.
Precision acrylic glass can be drilled and milled splendidly. The material especially shows its strengths when machining with CNC milling: it doesn't melt, and, thanks to its low tolerances, allows even the most delicate work to be done. If you want to deform the thermoplastic material, you should bring it to temperatures between 130°C and 170°C, depending on the material thickness.
