Bubble wrap forms the optimum protective packaging around objects. A high level of protection against impact is achieved with just a few layers of film. The small air chambers provide optimum cushioning and distribute the force exerted over the surface.
Bubble wrap is made from low-density polyethylene (LD-PE = low density polyethylene). The material is relatively tough so that the air chambers do not burst so quickly. In waste incineration, PE oxidizes completely and without residue to water and carbon dioxide.
