Paper-coated rigid foam boards are particularly suitable for presentations, handicrafts or model making. The material can be easily cut with a cutter and grooved or notched. Paper-laminated rigid foam boards are often used as a lightweight and stable base material for presentations. If you want to cover the entire surface of the board with a photo, print or drawing, for example, it is advisable to cover the reverse side with a comparable material. This will ensure that the board remains flat and does not curl - even with changing humidity. If you want to work with water-based paints directly on the boards, apply the same paint to both sides for the same reason.
Due to the slightly cheaper plastic polystyrene, which forms the foam core of the sheets, they are somewhat cheaper than the well-known Kapa line with its polyurethane foam core. When gluing the panels, make sure that you work with polystyrene-compatible adhesives such as Tesa all-purpose adhesive or Uhu por so that the rigid foam core is not damaged. When working with adhesives or paints containing solvents, we recommend carrying out preliminary tests, as solvents could dissolve the polystyrene foam core.
