The M1000 is a material that is not only used in making high quality master patterns (among others, in architectural model making) but can also be found being used as a tooling board, for example, in dimensionally accurate moulds, jigs and forms. When being so used, its weight, which at 1.000 kg/m³ is very low for a tooling board, makes it very easy to work with. Its form holding ability under the influence of heat and its excellent edge strength predestined this material for use in deep-drawing. This modelling and tooling board can be worked on very nicely with shop machines and its surface takes very well to painting.
