The PUR 4-minute rapid casting resin is a two-component polyurethane casting resin system designed for rapid curing. It is mixed in a 1:1 ratio (by volume or weight), which facilitates processing. Due to its low viscosity, the resin is easy to pour, even into intricate molds and thin wall thicknesses.
With a pot life of around 3-4 minutes at approx. 20 °C, it is classified as a "rapid casting resin". Due to the short processing time, we recommend having everything ready for casting before mixing, as three minutes fly by! The material can be removed from the mold after around 3 hours (tack-free state); full final strength is achieved after around 8 days at 20 °C (depending on volume and layer thickness).
Due to its low viscosity and high wetting capacity, the fast casting resin F26 can easily be provided with a high proportion of fillers. The type and quantity of filler can be selected according to the application - e.g. for casting in thin or thick layers or for filling. For casting thicker layers (over 20 mm), up to 300 parts by weight of filler can be added to 100 parts resin and 100 parts hardener; when casting thinner layers, 200 parts by weight of filler should not be exceeded.
