PUR Fast Casting Resin 12 minutes is a two-component polyurethane casting resin with a processing time of around 12 minutes. It was developed for applications where comparatively rapid curing is required but good mechanical properties are still necessary. Due to the balanced mixture of flowability, strength and relatively low odor as well as the very fine structure, the system is particularly suitable for casting models, control casts, moulded parts, arts and crafts articles and figures of small to medium size. Due to its low viscosity, it can be poured very easily and is therefore also suitable for complicated molds.
The system is based on a mixing ratio of 1:1 by weight, which makes it easy to handle. After complete curing (over 24 hours), the material exhibits good strength as well as good flexural and impact strength. For larger layer thicknesses or volumes, the low-viscosity resin can be supplemented very well with suitable fillers (e.g. aluminum hydroxide).
When using, ensure that the resin and hardener components are stirred homogeneously before mixing. The mixture should be processed in environments between approx. 18 °C and 25 °C to ensure optimum reaction conditions.
