Give garments and accessories an extra dose of security: plottiX ReFlex thermal transfer film makes it easy for you. Mirrored glass beads give the thin and elastic film reflective properties. This makes you more visible on the road, for example. As the product meets the EN471 class 2 standard, it is also suitable for safety clothing.
Using a cutting plotter, you can easily cut a motif of your choice from the 30 x 30 cm film. For Silhouette models, blade setting 1 and contact pressure 10 are recommended. As always, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and a preliminary test is always advisable. Ultimately, the settings depend heavily on the condition of the blade. If you prefer to use scissors or a cutter, this is also possible without further ado.
Transferring the film
To transfer the plotter film, you can use a classic iron in combination with a flat, hard surface or a transfer press. First pre-iron the fabric for approx. 5 seconds. You can then place your design on top, cover with baking paper and press firmly at 150 °C for about 15 seconds. Remove the backing after it has cooled down. Your textile, including the reflective details, can now be washed at up to 60 °C. The lower the temperature, the better. If possible, turn the garment or accessory inside out when washing.
