With the plottiX MetalFlex thermal transfer film, you can give textiles a metallic sheen. The thin foils are suitable for cotton, polyester and mixed fabrics, so you can decorate both garments and accessories as you wish.

To do this, simply cut a motif, lettering or icon from the 30 x 30 cm sheet. If you are using a Silhouette cutting plotter, select blade setting 2 and contact pressure 33. We always advise you to carry out a preliminary test to determine the best possible settings, as the result depends heavily on the condition of your blade. Be careful when weeding the motif afterwards, as the film is very stretchy.

Transferring the film

Before transferring the film, pre-iron your shirt, bag or similar for approx. 5 seconds before placing the motif in the desired position and covering it with baking paper. Then press it on with an iron on a hard, flat surface or using a transfer press at 170 °C. The pressing time should be around 20 seconds. You can remove the backing once it has cooled down. The result can be washed at up to 40 °C, but the temperature should be as low as possible. Also turn the fabric inside out before washing.
