The Jimihome ABS Cutter is a solid tool for everyday use. The housing is made of very impact-resistant and therefore break-resistant ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). The cutter should therefore survive being accidentally pushed off the workbench without major damage. There is room for two additional blades in a separate magazine in the housing. There you will also find the practical tool for breaking off the blade segments.
In practical one-handed operation, you can slide the blade out of the cutter and back in again. In addition, the cutter is equipped with a button to lock the blade. This is safe in two ways: firstly, the lock prevents the blade from being accidentally pushed out when the cutter is retracted, and secondly, even when the lock is active, the blade that has been pushed out remains set as it was when it was detected. This also prevents the blade from being pulled out by a stubborn material in which it gets caught during cutting. Both prevent injuries.
