Jesmonite AC100 is a water-based acrylic resin mineral powder system suitable for a wide range of casting and laminating projects. This environmentally friendly material combines the advantages of plaster and synthetic resin: it hardens quickly like plaster, but the result is harder and, above all, tougher than plaster and (with slight restrictions and preferably surface-treated) can also be used outdoors. You can also color Jesmonite and modify its physical properties with fillers and additives. For example, the consistency can be adjusted with a thickener so that you can fill it and use it for laminating. If you want to cast it, no additive is necessary, but you could, for example, make the mass lighter with fillers such as hollow glass beads.
Jesmonite AC100 is particularly popular with artists, designers and craftsmen for the creation of sculptures, reliefs, decorative elements and surface coatings. It can be cast or laminated and is ideal for detailed work. Depending on the shape depicted, smooth, matt surfaces are created. However, you can reproduce almost any texture, color or surface with Jesmonite.
