Collall wood glue is a ready-to-use water-based white glue (polyvinyl acetate dispersion) that is classified as D3 quality in accordance with EN 204. This means that it is suitable for damp rooms and can withstand frequent short-term exposure to water, for example in bathrooms or kitchens. When applied, the glue appears viscous and whitish, but dries completely transparent and waterproof. It can be used both indoors and in protected outdoor areas and adheres reliably to wood, plywood, wood-based materials such as chipboard or MDF, laminates, cardboard, cork, felt, polystyrene and some types of plastic.
Application is quite simple: the surfaces to be glued should be dry and clean - for larger workpieces, it is advisable to moisten both parts evenly; at least one part must be able to absorb water. The glue can be applied to one or both sides; two-sided application improves water resistance. After gluing, the parts must be pressed firmly together. Maximum strength is achieved (only) after a few days. Clean dirty tools with water, preferably while the glue is still wet.
