Alumina hydrate is a fine, pure white aluminum hydroxide powder with a medium grain diameter of up to approx. 35 µm, which is intended for use in casting systems, resin mixtures and casting compounds. Due to its chemical composition and physical properties, the product is suitable both for brightening and for the functional improvement of synthetic resin systems. In practice, aluminum hydroxide is used as an additive in resin mixtures to adjust flow properties, regulate curing and improve the fire protection of the cured material. The material remains easy to grind and polish, making the filler suitable for applications in which surface and finish play a role.
The powder is used, for example, for the production of technical potting components, molded parts, models, panels (e.g. in interior fittings) or components in the solid surface sector. The filler is also suitable for thickening resin systems or fillers in order to adjust the viscosity or consistency.
