The BeaverCraft straight blade carving knives are handcrafted wood carving tools for classic carving techniques. Each model combines a very sharp, hardened carbon steel blade with an ergonomically shaped ash wood handle that gives you controlled handling even when working for long periods of time. The straight blade is a universal design suitable for controlled carving of smooth surfaces and defined edges.
Straight blades offer the advantage of making even cuts when woodworking, making them the preferred choice for basic and fine work - from removing larger pieces of wood to making precise details. The knives are suitable for both beginners and experienced woodcarvers and, with their different lengths, cover a wide range of uses, from rough work (long knife) to finishing fine decorations (short knife).
When working with carbon steel blades, you should pay attention to care and protection from moisture, as this steel is not rustproof. After use, the knives should be stored in a dry place and occasionally treated with a few drops of oil to prevent corrosion. Oiling the wooden handle keeps it grippy and supple.
