The ADGA 130 is a unique wooden folding ruler that is pocket sized. It has the patented ADGA snap-in nipple technology - metal nipples engage precisely into the milled indentations in the wooden length sections and lock them in an exactly straight line that is totally sturdy as a result. The different sections are completely smooth even where they are jointed together by the snap-in nipples so that straight scoring or drawing of lines is not a problem.
Only beechwood and hornbeam wood without knots was used for making the sections. The environmentally friendly weather- and scratch-resistant lacquer was finally successfully developed after thousands of trials. The graduated scales are printed in high definition and are easily readable thanks to the smooth matte finish of the surface. All the ADGA measuring stick sections are rivetted all the way through one another. This prevents the spring fitting in the different sections from shifting or becoming detached. It also means that even after long use or under conditions of extreme moisture these through-rivetted sections will continue to be completely accurate.
The company Adolf Gampper has been producing wooden sectional rulers in Germany since 1947 on its own wood processing machines, rivetting machines and punching machines.
