This steel cutting ruler with engraved mm scale is a very high quality, rust-free straight edge that, as a result of its high weight, lies down nicely and provides a secure guide for a blade along its relatively high edge. Its precision as per DIN 865 is +/- 1/200 mm over a 1 metre length. Because it does not have rubber coating on the backside, it is easy to move around on any substrate and can be positioned exactly. If you prefer a cutting ruler that will not slip and slide, a thin coat of latex can be applied to the backside of this one.
