Material Olympics at Modulor
The Winter Olympics don't stop at our doorstep either. With our great passion for materials, we joined Mika at the starting line. After delicate freestyle routines, fast downhill runs, and long jumps, the community voted on which sport would make it onto the winners' podium.
The decision has been made:
Gold goes to Mika in the ski jumping discipline
Silver goes to figure skating
Bronze goes to bobsleigh
Congratulations, Mika! Here's to many more adventures with you!
Gold goes to: Ski jumping
Everything for the ski slope and ski outfit
Mika kicks off our sporting series in the discipline of ski jumping. In a complex process, a suit made of Worbla's modeling sheet was tailored to fit Mika's body and attached using a hot air gun, with safety precautions in place.
The red Turbo Brush skis contain speed bristles and feature a sophisticated cable tie click-in boot technology. They ensure that both brushes land safely on the ground after a rapid start on the metallic tape tracks. In the unlikely event of a fall, the turquoise Styrofoam helmet with precision acrylic glass goggles ensures a relatively soft landing.
We wish you a cool head and every success, Mika!

Silver goes to: figure skating
Everything for the ice rink and costumes
Delicate and almost floating, Mika glides across the shimmering polystyrene ice surface. Figure skating is one of the most demanding and aesthetic disciplines in our Material Olympics.
A costume made of two-tone glitter glue and pink tulle adds a special touch to the sophisticated steps, pirouettes, and jumps. Bulldog clip shoes are crucial for the right spin, but also for an accident-free landing. With a mixture of steel and plastic, they provide the perfect grip and the necessary jumping energy.
Just watching makes our heads spin, and we wish you all the best for your free skate, Mika!

Bronze goes to: Bobsleigh
Everything for the bobsleigh track and racing suit
The track, made of sturdy hardboard round tubing with a mirror-smooth polystyrene surface, ensures maximum speeds in the third and final Olympic discipline of bobsleighing. However, it is not only the track that plays a role in this, but also the ultra-aerodynamic design of the caddy itself.
With its bright colors, the caddy appears on the track like a passing flash of light. Phenomenal! To make the important start phase as powerful and fast as possible for Mika, he wears a suit made of ultra-light and highly flexible mesh tubing. The helmet visor made of thin precision acrylic glass ensures optimum visibility, not only during the acceleration phase.
We wish him a fast descent and a good position on the podium!
