Discover Stifte Total not only at our store in Berlin, but also in our online shop, where you can see for yourself how many brands, pencils, and other writing tools we have for you.

Whether you’re into crafts, drawing or painting – if paper is your preferred medium, our Paper & Pens section is a real paradise for you. It all starts with our truly legendary selection of pens and stationery. As well as our new pen wall featuring 500,000 writing instruments in our Berlin shop, you’ll also find everything from A for all-purpose pens to Z for drawing sets here in our online shop. We’ve got the perfect foundation for your drawing projects ready for you in the Sketching and Drawing Paper category. This includes sketch pads and sketchbooks, as well as paper on rolls and for technical drawing. We also stock special papers in our range for drawing with calligraphy pens or markers. Journalists, note-takers and planners will find a huge selection of high-quality writing and note-taking paper at Modulor – from elegant writing paper to planners and exercise books, right through to practical college pads. Whether smooth, lined, squared or dotted: we have exactly the right surface to suit your writing style.

Looking for a sturdier base for your ideas? Then you’ll find what you’re looking for in our cardboard and carton sections. Both are perfect for model-making, presentations or DIY, but with different thicknesses, sizes and finishes, they bring variety to your projects. With our craft paper, on the other hand, colour comes into play: whether for origami, scrapbooking or creative collages – here you can let your imagination run wild and mix and match to your heart’s content. And if you’re looking for something even more special, it’s worth taking a look at our ‘More’ category. There you’ll find everything from gift wrap to give your presents the perfect look, to sturdy packing paper, right through to speciality papers and bookbinding paper for more demanding projects. Whether you’re wrapping, designing or preserving – we have the right materials for your ideas.

Stationery is basically everything you need for writing, planning, organising and creative work. This includes pens of all kinds as well as paper products for a wide variety of purposes. Folders and files, as well as pads, planners and notebooks, help you stay organised and bring your (creative) projects to life – whether in the office, at school or at home.

Lightweight paper weighing around 80–120 g/m² is suitable for sketching. It is ideal for quick drafts and loose drawing. If you are sketching in more detail, it is best to use slightly thicker paper (approx. 120–180 g/m²), as it is sturdier and easier to erase. In short: the finer and more elaborate your work, the higher the quality and sturdier the paper should be.

The choice of paper depends on what you want to create. For markers, we recommend smooth paper; slightly rough paper for coloured pencils; and thick, textured paper for watercolours. Generally speaking, drawing paper is heavier than standard writing and photocopying paper, so that details are clearly visible and any mistakes can be erased.

In short: card is finer and more versatile, whereas cardboard is more robust and sturdy. Accordingly, the difference between card and cardboard lies primarily in the thickness and structure of the material. Card is a firmer, higher-quality paper with a uniform texture. It prints, cuts and folds well, making it ideal for cards, packaging or craft projects. Cardboard, on the other hand, is thicker, coarser and often multi-layered. It is sturdier but less flexible and has a rather rough surface – perfect for shipping boxes, model making or sturdy constructions.

The range of craft papers is virtually endless. Classic craft papers include, for example, construction paper, the significantly sturdier cardstock or photo cardstock, and coloured paper. However, craft papers are also available with textures or other characteristics. This is the case with crepe paper, soft tissue paper or translucent tracing paper. Craft papers also include effect and design papers such as glossy paper / metallic paper with shiny surfaces, as well as sparkling glitter paper, patterned paper and marbled paper.
