The white melamine table-top with angled edge has all the good properties of our solid standard Melamine table-top : a durable, durable synthetic resin surface, a timeless appearance and a low price. Compared to the standard board with chipboard core and edge band, the melamine table top gains strength from the multiplex core with beveled edges and rounded corners in elegance and lightness.
Light look
The beveled edge at an angle of 25 ° makes the melamine table-top appear significantly thinner, almost floating, despite its stability, because only about 8 mm of material remains as the visible top edge. The filigree appearance is supported by the softly rounded corners in a 50 mm radius, which also soften bruises on the leg or head if you or your children bump into it.
Matching table frames
The "floating effect" is most pronounced in combination with our Y Table frames with the table frame offset inwards and therefore not visible at first glance. Delicate tubular steel legs match the melamine table top with angled edge, as do somewhat stronger solid wood legs, which you can also choose for the Y table frame. The melamine table-top with angled edge also fits very well on our technical T table .
So that the 18 mm thick melamine table-top does not sag or warp, we advise you to place it on a table frame with supporting frames and always screw it together.
Indestructible surface
When manufacturing the melamine table-top, paper layers soaked in melamine resin are pressed on both sides with the birch multiplex plywood. This creates a smooth and hard-wearing synthetic resin surface that is easy to clean and can withstand your extensive everyday use for many years. Spilled drinks and sticky children's hands at the dining table don't matter any more than hot coffee cups and computer mice pushed around on the desk.
Cleaning and care
It is best to clean the surface of the melamine table-top with a damp cloth and gentle cleaning agents. Although the melamine resin surface is resistant and scratch-resistant, it should not come into contact with scratching sponges, pot cleaners and comparable all-rounders. These leave clear traces and may attack the surface of the melamine table-top.
Good to know
The cut edges of a birch multiplex plywood panel can never show a flawless stripe view due to production. In the manufacture of the plywood panel, several layers of birch veneer are glued crosswise on top of each other. There are always small overlaps or gaps between the veneer sheets that are placed next to each other, which can be reflected in the cut edge of your table-top. Our carpenter closes small holes with suitable wood putty so that no moisture can penetrate into the panel at the relevant points.
