These high quality palette knives from the Liquidex company have ergonomically shaped wooden handles and flexible rust-free stainless steel blades - features that make them professional quality tools for impasto painting techniques. They can be used for applying pastose paint on canvases as well as for mixing work on the palette. Your application can be directly formed into three-dimensional structures and textures on your canvas through the use of these tools. The best suited paints for use with palette knives include oil and acrylic paints as well as heavy body gels and pastes. Any excess of applied paint can be easily removed from your canvas with a palette knife. The variously shaped blades in different lengths are attached to the handle at a slight angle so that the hand guiding the tool can remain parallel to the canvas surface during application.
