The Versa Craft Pigment Mini Ink Pad is a small ink pad containing water-based pigment ink, designed for precise stamping on absorbent and porous surfaces. You can use it for stamping on paper, cardstock, washi tape, untreated wood, vegetable-tanned leather, terracotta, and textiles. After stamping on fabrics, the ink must be heat-set for permanent results. This requires at least 15 seconds of heat exposure; the appropriate temperature depends on the specific material. Once properly heat-set, the ink fades only slightly when washed. However, we always recommend testing first, as every fabric behaves a little differently.
Thanks to its mini size, the ink pad is ideal for small motifs (e.g., letters), individual lettering, border details, and precisely inking small areas of the stamp. When using multiple colors, you can work more precisely because the small pad surface wets a smaller area of the stamp. The pigment ink is acid-free and water-based. It can air-dry, but heat setting (see above) is recommended for permanent results on suitable materials. For leather, we recommend air-drying or careful drying with a hair dryer; ironing heat easily alters the surface of the leather and is therefore not recommended.
