The split ring is a small, open metal ring that is used to connect, fasten or hold together lightweight components. Its spiral-slotted design allows it to be opened in a similar way to a key ring and enables eyelets, chains, pendants or wire ends to be attached securely. The design ensures that inserted elements do not slip out unintentionally as long as the ring is not actively opened.
The design is optionally silver-plated or gold-plated. The respective coating gives the split ring a uniform metallic surface and determines the visual effect without changing the basic function.
