The shellac ink from Sennelier delights above all with its color brilliance and luminosity. Depending on the ink application, the shellac creates a satin or glossy surface. The inks dry quite quickly and a water-resistant application is created that can be painted over. However, the application is not waterproof, i.e. if the ink is exposed to water for a long time, what was previously drawn will come off again.

You can use the ink well with a brush, bamboo or drawing pen. However, the pointed nib is not suitable (for calligraphy). To maintain the luminosity and increase the light resistance, we recommend using a fixative with UV protection after finishing your drawing.
