Would you like to try Pouring - THE current trend in acrylic painting? Then we can warmly recommend you the Schminke Pouring Medium. The medium is already ready for use and can be used pure or mixed with acrylic paints.
Pouring what? Let's start at the beginning. When Pouring – often called liquid painting or casting technique – the motto is: Let the colors flow. Free in all directions and into each other. Either you can pour the acrylic paints directly on the canvas (to pour), Or you layer them in a cup beforehand and then put this on the painting surface. For the acrylic flow technique to work, the colors must be pre-thinned. And this is precisely where the Pouring Medium comes into play. It increases the flowability of the paint and gives it a paint-like consistency depending on the mixing ratio. The result after drying: abstract, uncontrolled, sometimes downright bizarre – but definitely unique. Give it a try!
Attention: This version is not suitable for use with silicone oil! If you want to achieve cell effects and use silicone oil for this purpose, we recommend the Schmincke Pouring Medium S.
Tips for use:
Substrates must be clean, stable, and grease-free - pre-testing is recommended!
Allow a wet picture to dry horizontally for 8-24 hours
For a high gloss effect, coat with another layer of Pouring Medium
Close containers immediately after use
Store in a cool, dry place
Please dispose of residual amounts of color material properly
