The acrylic ink Aero Color Professional from Schmincke was specially developed as an airbrush color. Its pigmentation is so fine that it can be used undiluted with a spray gun without clogging it. If required, it can also be diluted with SCHMINCKE AERO MEDIUM or water.
The Aero Color is easy to process, has a pleasant smell, dries waterproof and is very resistant when dried. It can be used on almost all substrates, e.g. it adheres excellently to all types of paper and cardboard as well as to non-absorbent substrates such as plastics, canvas and sometimes even metal. Due to the highest lightfastness of the pigments, it can also work for a long time in light-exposed places.
All tones have a unique feature in the airbrush segment: After a short time, the paint develops a viscous storage viscosity which, after a short shake, returns to a ready-to-use liquid consistency. Schmincke calls this shakability of colours "Shake & Spray".
The very fine colour pigments make Aero Color equally suitable for use with ink fountain pens, drawing pencils, brushes or the matching empty pencils from Schmincke, the AERO COLOR LINERN. It can also be used directly from the practical pipette bottle. For example, individual drops of Aero Color - applied to damp surfaces - can create great watercolor effects.
The Aero Color is also very popular in the mixed media sector due to the high brilliance of the colours and the beautiful effects that can be achieved in combination with watercolour, gouache or other techniques.
Many colors are single-pigment tones that achieve beautiful mixing results and allow an almost unlimited color variety. Many of the shades are glazed or semi-transparent. By adding a small amount of the highly opaque colour SUPRA-WEIß, opaque (101) they can obtain an opaque character without being lightened or losing their colour strength. The new special tones TOTAL COVER are already mixed and - as the name suggests - opaque.
