Whether you need a pen on your pocket calendar, notebook, sketchbook, or binder: The pen holder with a flat rubber loop is very thin, and it is affixed inside the book or binder cover in such a way that only the loop can be seen from the outside. Not only pencils or ballpoint pens but also fountain pens or thicker sketch pens fit in it.
If your book is thick enough, you can glue a loop inside the front cover as well as inside the back cover. If you put then your pen through both loops, you have closed the book securely at the same time.
