The Mt Artist Washi Tape by Léa Maupetit features small illustrations by Léa Maupetit, a French illustrator based in Paris. Her work draws on scenes and motifs from everyday life and makes use of bold colors and humorous compositions. For this series, Maupetit drew inspiration from both her Parisian surroundings and motifs representing the Japanese seasons. You can use the tape, for example, to decorate notebooks and journals, scrapbooks, cards, gift wrapping, or other paper crafts.
The “Paris” and “Sausage Dog” designs draw inspiration from Maupetit’s everyday life in Paris. “Paris” features playfully illustrated landmarks and street scenes from the French capital. “Sausage Dog” puts the dachshund front and center as a standalone motif. The four other designs follow the seasons: “Blooming Spring,” “Endless Summer,” “Golden Autumn,” and “Whimsical Winter” interpret spring, summer, fall, and winter through Maupetit’s visual language.
