The Mt 1P Basic Washi Industrial Tape differs from the classic Mt Basic Washi Tapes primarily in its manufacturing process: The washi paper is impregnated with dyed resin. This not only colors the surface but also dyes the paper throughout and impregnates it. As a result, both the front and back sides display the same shade. At the same time, the impregnation increases the paper’s strength. The tape is manufactured using a process also employed in industrial masking tapes.
This makes the solid-colored tape particularly suitable for projects where you don’t want the visible back or the edge of the tape to appear white. You can use it, for example, for marking and organizing, for collages, paper crafts, packaging, or tape art. The color remains intact even on folded, folded-over, or exposed sections of the tape.
At 20 meters, this roll contains significantly more tape than most other washi tapes. This is handy when you’re decorating larger areas or drawing longer lines, or when you frequently need the same color for recurring projects.
