Marabu acrylic spray paint Do it is a high-quality acrylic-based paint spray. It is suitable for DIY projects on various surfaces such as paper, wood, metal, ceramics, glass, wickerwork or paintable plastics. A particular advantage is that some of the paints can be used on more sensitive surfaces such as polystyrene or polystyrene foam without prior priming. Follow the instructions on the respective spray can.
On absorbent substrates, we generally recommend a multi-layer primer first. For example, we tested the gloss gold variant (3019515-484-St) on MDF and on gray cardboard, in each case with and without primer (gesso, 2 coats). The results were very clear: a primer is absolutely essential for absorbent materials in order to achieve the desired gloss effect. Without primer, it just looks brown. For MDF, we even recommend 3-4 coats of primer before spraying on the golden paint.
Please note:
- Do-it paints are not suitable for seating surfaces as the paint can become sticky due to body heat.
- With the exception of Do it Gloss, High Gloss, Reflecting Steel, Antique Steel and Chalkboard, all colors are polystyrene-resistant. Highgloss Silver and Highgloss Gold are not abrasion-resistant, i.e. they are not weatherproof.
