The Leava leaf ornament pendant looks elegant and unusual. The apparent contradiction between filigree leaf structure and metallic hardness and strength is immediately fascinating. The leaf ornament can be used to decorate gifts, branches, wreaths, table decorations or seasonal arrangements. The leaf motif makes the pendant particularly suitable for natural, floral decorations. You can use it individually to enhance gift packaging or combine several pendants to create a recurring design line in room or event decorations.
The manufacturing process, in which the leaf is first skeletonized and then electroplated, is as unusual as the result: Bay leaves are boiled in an alkaline solution until the leaf tissue decomposes. All that remains is the leaf vein framework. This is coated with a conductive layer and then electroplated as a cathode in an electrolyte bath. At the end of the process, metal ions have accumulated on the leaf structure and the leaf structure is metallically reinforced.
