The Kaweco company (Koch, Weber & Co. Heidelberg) was founded in 1883 and is thereby one of the oldest companies in its sector. It has continued on into the present to successfully combine tradition and innovation in the making of high quality writing utensils. The Kaweco pens are very well known and immediately recognizable because of their octagonal shape and the round metal logo “KA WE CO” on the end of the barrel.

The super high quality chased nibs (and regulator) for these Kaweco fountain pens are manufactured by the traditional Heidelberg company Peter Bock AG, while the intensely coloured inks, which are also of the highest quality, were developed in an ink laboratory especially for Kaweco.

There are not very many pens that can remain successful on the market for decades without having made any changes: the Kaweco Classic Sport is one of them! The new edition is a simulacrum of the 1935 design and, like its forerunner, also has a gold-plated nib with an iridium tip. In the old days, the Kaweco Sport was the first of its kind to be designed as a pocket pen. Its total length (when closed) of only 105 mm makes it very compact but, with the cap attached to the back of the barrel, it sits nonetheless very comfortably in the hand. A beautiful PEN CLIP for holding the pen in your breast pocket or on a notebook is available separately and can be easily attached to the Classic Sport for these purposes. We also carry the matching KAWECO CLASSIC SPORT BALLPOINT PEN, which shares the same compactness as its brother.
