The Fiskar stamp presser can be used to punch very large motifs out of paper, cardboard and thin plastic film in order to make things like gift tags, labels, game tokens and lots more. Seen another way, the cut-outs in the punched material are themselves decorative elements for, for example, making your own greeting or birthday cards or practical large hanging holes (here is meant at least cardboard). If you have punched out a motif in a plastic film, the punched film can then be nicely used as a template for, for example, painting on cloth.

Our experience has shown that from four to five pieces of 80 gram paper can be punched out at one time. In the case of cardboard, the maximum thickness (density) is 300 g/m² (PHOTO MOUNTING BOARD); in the case of plastic film or foils it is 0.2 mm thickness. The punch mechanism can be sharpened by punching through aluminium foil a number of times. Lubricating the mechanism can be done in the same way except you use wax paper instead! 

Not a lot of strength is necessary for the punching work because of the spring-loaded lever mechanism. This means that the Fiscars stamp press can also be used for handicraft projects with children.
