Making your own soap is surprisingly easy, and with these craft kits, all the necessary materials are already conveniently included. Both versions contain materials for making four bars of soap, along with the corresponding instructions. The soap base is mixed, colored, and molded. Depending on the set, you’ll create either decorative sea creatures or soaps with a built-in loofah sponge.
The sea creatures option turns soap-making into a fun little craft project for kids. Using the soap base, blue soap dye, and the included molds, you can create fish and octopuses for the bathtub or sink. The finished soaps can then be stored in the included organza bags or given as gifts.
With the loofah set, the focus is not only on the DIY experience but also on the unique combination of materials. Here, an olive soap base is combined with a natural loofah sponge. When in contact with warm water, the plant-based sponge softens and provides a gentle exfoliating effect while washing. A string allows you to hang the finished soap up to dry after use. The natural loofah sponge can be composted once it has reached the end of its useful life.
Whether it’s playful sea creature soap or loofah soap for your own little home spa: Both sets provide a step-by-step introduction to soap making and come complete with all the essential ingredients and tools. The finished soaps are perfect for personal use as well as for giving as homemade gifts.
