This beautiful, warm white, diaphanous paper comes from the birthplace of paper itself. This rice paper is sturdy and long-lasting even though no additional sizing is used in its production. It can be easily and precisely torn if the desired tear line is previously wetted with a brush (when the paper is wet, you should not attempt to lift it). Because of its durability and great looks, Chinese rice paper can be used to make really nice screens or lamps. Even though it is not especially designed for artwork, it is nonetheless excellent when used for Chinese ink art and produces good results with wood and linoleum printing techniques as well.
