A T-drawing rail - often still referred to by the old term "drawing rail" - can be used on any table that has a straight and preferably undamaged table edge. The table surface should also be as smooth and even as possible, because this serves as a base for your stretched paper. If these conditions are met, you can start drawing and designing. The edge of the table serves as a guide rail or "gauge" along which you can guide the drawing rail at a right angle and in this way move the ruler parallel to lines that have already been drawn. The drawing rail is suitable for technical drawings with pencils or with ink drawing tools.
Recommended for drawing work are two additional drawing triangles (45 °/45 °/90 ° and 30 °/60 °/90 °), which then allow you to draw the corresponding angles to the drawing rail.
