The Studio Unto Color Gem wax crayon cube is a unique reinterpretation of traditional wax crayons. Inspired by nature, especially minerals and stones, this cube allows you to draw figuratively from nature - as if you were to pick up a stone and start painting with it. The wax painting cube has a mineral-like texture and is intricately handcrafted at Studio Unto in Taiwan, which means that each cube has slight variations in color and texture. The Color Gem is made from natural materials such as wax and pigments, and its shape changes with each use, similar to the natural erosion of rock. From the original idea of a tool for drawing in pencil form, Studio Unto creates a shape that combines art and nature, a changing art object, so to speak, which gives off colors that occur in nature in exactly the same way.
