On the light brown toned paper of the Strathmore Toned Tan Sketchbook, you can work with light and dark pens, as well as drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, red chalk, markers, china markers, colored pencils, or quills. Lines and surfaces with white chalk and gel pens are especially beautiful. The lightly grained paper is wrapped in a sturdy hardcover cover. Thanks to the binding, the Toned Tan Sketchbook is particularly flat so you can work easily on double pages.
Drawing on tinted paper is exciting, because you have to rethink: While working on white paper, the brightest parts of your drawing are the ones you leave free; you can put additional highlights on tinted paper with a lighter pen, for example, to achieve greater plasticity.
