The Stabilo CarbOthello pastel crayon is a pastel crayon in pencil form that is professionally suitable for drawings and fine illustrations. The lead is protected against breakage in a robust wooden casing and produces a dry, "dusty" smear when applied, reminiscent of classic charcoal. This dry application can be used both dry and with water: You can blend or smudge the pigments dry, or partially watercolor them with a moistened brush. The contours remain largely visible. The chalk adheres particularly well to textured or grainy papers, as the pigment particles adhere better to the paper. Thanks to the high pigment content, the strong, bright colors are very opaque - even on dark backgrounds or finer paper. The pen also offers very good light resistance. Your work will therefore last a long time.
