If linoleum inks are mixed or overprinted with Lino-Perl, an interesting pearlescent effect is achieved. By mixing in Lino-Perl, the colour tone of the printing ink becomes lighter. The intensity of the pearl effect and the lightening depends on the amount mixed in, the opacity and the brightness of the linoleum printing inks used (the more transparent and darker the shade, the stronger the effect). The mixing ratio is from 1 part medium to 9 parts linoleum ink.
