It does not smear even after drying and is not removable (waterproof). So it will not run even if you accidentally pour water on the finished drawing or writing. Pigma ink does not bleed through on most papers.

Due to their described properties, they are also suitable for legal documents, logbooks and checks. Therefore, it is not surprising that fineliners are often used in professional contexts.
