Our high-quality oval frames made of wood exude historical charm. They are reminiscent of bygone times with highly decorated and ornate living spaces. They succeed, however, without joining the ranks of pompous and overloaded picture frames. Instead, our oval frames score with simplicity and one subtle reference to curved forms in Art Nouveau or the aura of the 1920s. Perhaps oval (as well as round) frames also look familiar, personal, and original because we are directly reminded of our great-grandparents, who are portraited in such a frame—a modern yet timeless memeory. Our oval frames are made by hand in Tuscany and are made from as few pieces as possible. Only very few manufacturers make such frames from solid wood and not from MDF or plastic. The gold or silver plating with striking metals is also done by hand, resulting in a frame that is anything but off of the assembly line. The small formats are very suitable for elongated objects and works such as dried flowers or portraits. The large formats can also accommodate angular images, e.g., using a passe-partout with rectangular or square cut-outs (the passe-partout itself has the shape of the frame). And if you are looking for a customizable option, you can choose the untreated oval frame. Individualize in a bright color and turn the perception upside down—also as a frame without a picture in a crazy Petersburg hanging. There are no limits to your creativity.
