For metal fans and all who want to be: With the Montana Tech primer spray Metal Primer you can prime metal surfaces and protect them from rust. The tech spray is suitable, for example, for iron and steel as well as mineral substrates that you want to paint with synthetic, nitro-combination and acrylic paints.
Attention: The product cannot be used on aluminum. To make sure that the primer and the chosen material are compatible, it is advisable to perform a preliminary test on a non-visible area.
In addition to providing protection against rust, the primer provides good adhesion to the coatings you plan to apply afterwards. It improves the gloss level of top coats and their durability.
Apply the product with circular movements in several - at least 2 to 3 - thin layers. Allow the individual layers to dry for a few minutes in between. Ensure a spray distance of at least 25 cm. The optimum application temperature is between 10 and 25 °C. The air humidity should not exceed 60%. Depending on the application of the primer and the environment, you can start working over the primed surface after about 3 hours. However, this also depends on which paints and varnishes you use. Carry out a preliminary test here as well. You can expect the Tech-Spray to dry completely after about 24 hours.
