What makes an acrylic marker special is that the paint settles on the surface, “covering” it, and therefore appears particularly vibrant. This is especially true of Molotow’s One4all series, as the colors in this line are richly pigmented, offer excellent coverage, and come in a delightful range of shades. The good opacity works well on many smooth or rough surfaces: metal, glass, most plastics, wood, textiles, stone, as well as paper, cardstock, and cardboard. As always, it becomes more difficult with certain plastics like PE and PP, and—as is almost always the case—impossible on silicone or greasy surfaces.
What makes the One4all marker special is that the ink can be mixed with both water and acetone—Molotow uses the catchy, modern term “hybrid marker” to describe it. This has the advantage of providing a marker that is largely odorless and solvent-free, to which you can add acetone as needed—this improves adhesion on surfaces such as leather or smooth plastic.
Usage: As with most acrylic markers, the same applies here: Shake well before use, then activate the ink flow by pressing down on the spring-loaded tip. In our experience, the markers do not tend to dry out prematurely, but here are two measures to prevent this or to address it if it happens: moisten the tip with water as a preventive measure before prolonged periods of non-use; and, if the tip has dried out, try treating it with a small amount of acetone to hopefully soften it and make it usable again.
