The round Milan Maxi Sunset multicolor pencil writes and draws with a thick 5-mm lead. The lead contains four colors: yellow, pink, green, and purple. This allows you to create multiple shades on paper with a single pencil without having to switch between different colored pencils. Since the colors are combined in a single lead, the proportions of each color in the line vary depending on how you hold, press, and rotate the pencil.
The Maxi diameter is designed especially for children. The larger pencil shape is easier to grip and provides more surface area than a narrow standard colored pencil. The lead produces a smooth, even line and is protected against breakage by the LPS system. LPS stands for “Lead Protection System”: The lead is fully bonded to the wood, making it sit more securely in the pencil. This can reduce breakage while drawing, sharpening, or if the pencil is dropped. The pencil is made of black-stained linden wood from sustainably managed forests. Milan’s Sunset series features color gradients inspired by a Mediterranean sunset.
