The Hahnemühle Mini Painting Palette made of bamboo is a very compact empty case for watercolors and other water-soluble paints. With its square dimensions of 60 x 60 mm (when open), it is exceptionally small. When folded, it takes up very little space and can be stored in practically any bag, as well as in cases or zip-top pouches. Inside, there are 8 compartments where you can portion out your chosen colors and take them with you. What sets this paint box apart is its built-in mixing surface, where you can blend colors.
The magnetic closure keeps the palette shut when it’s being transported or stored. Using the clip, you can attach the palette to a sketchbook or a surface. The mini palette is made of bamboo, which is not only lightweight and sturdy but also water-resistant. This makes it ideal for the box and, thanks to bamboo’s rapid growth and the material’s ability to sequester CO₂, it’s also quite sustainable. The mini painting palette is particularly well-suited for urban sketching, travel watercolor, and plein air painting.
